Ha- I wondered if you heard her amputation remark. I just assumed that her mind pulled the wrong words from her memory bank so I just said, "Uh-huh" and let her talk.

De, Going thru this same memory, repeat-everything and then hyperventilate between sobs on walks thru the woods when nothing sinks in and pills are missed and details forgotten with regularity, what is a person to do day after day? Is there something for us which will ease the scariness of the process that never ends? How does one keep the distress from overwhelming the love?

I saw SNL and laughed a lot but most of all totally related to the financial expert because I do have a retirement account and "Fix It!" has been my mantra barked in the same tone every time I see Paulson, Bush, Bernanke or whoever on the news talking about the financial dilemma.

De and Greg, None of us know where our strengths really lie until they are needed for something really, really important. The bonus is that we find out what is really important and it is most often a 'who'. No, Horton is not coming to visit your mother...focus, De. Isn't it still amazing that you two found each other and still feel the blessing in it? There are blessing in your strengths, too. Use it to fight those litte suckers! Greg, good luck with your tests today. Donna

Mom I cannot tell you how impressed i was with you on the phone yesterday. I could not believe how seemingly calm you were and THAT is what set me off. I am so glad to hear that Dad's doctors think it will be treatable, and the websites seem to practically call it "average". What can be average about this, I wonder? But I will be there soon and am here for you in whatever way I can be. I Love you. I love Dad. We will get through this.

LOVE the flower. Fooey - your teacher must not have liked painting flowers. I think this painting would greatly enhance ANY environment -- especially as a focal point in a room. Well I guess it wouldn't mix well with dark hued paintings of horses, hounds and foxes. Please tell me people don't still have those around.
