De Selby is a painter who has lived in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky for most of her life. After formal education (BA, MA: studio art), she continued her studies with research, painting, continuing education workshops, and life experience. She raised two 'perfect children', managed her own publishing business that distributed her designs both domestically and internationally, and then lived in Wales where she welcomed many U.S. visitors to what her husband, Greg, referred to as "De's Make Your Own Darned Bed and Breakfast". During her time in Wales and for several years after, she freelanced for Lands' End, Better Homes and Gardens, The Longaberger Corporation, and special interest publications. She teaches oil painting, and works with designers seeking art for clients and special projects. Her work may be viewed at Fayette Gallery in Lexington, the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea, and . . . here.
