De Selby is a painter who has lived in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky for most of her life. After formal education (BA, MA: studio art), she continued her studies with research, painting, continuing education workshops, and life experience. She raised two 'perfect children', managed her own publishing business that distributed her designs both domestically and internationally, and then lived in Wales where she welcomed many U.S. visitors to what her husband, Greg, referred to as "De's Make Your Own Darned Bed and Breakfast". During her time in Wales and for several years after, she freelanced for Lands' End, Better Homes and Gardens, The Longaberger Corporation, and several special interest publications. She teaches oil painting and does special commissions for designers seeking art for clients and unique projects. Her paintings are in homes across the U.S. as well as in hospitals, libraries, and other public spaces. Pictured with De is Bud Brown (Man About Town), their rescue Cocker Spaniel. He rescued them!
